Guest speaker — research update
BSc (Hons.) PhD
Internationally renowned cancer researcher from QIMR Berghofer. Professor Rao will share insights into her pioneering work in brain cancer research and updates on her world-first digital liquid biopsy platform — technology that, thanks to funding from the Daniela Dwyer Foundation, has commenced a clinical trial across multiple Australian hospitals.
Guest speaker — clinical perspective
MBBS, FRACP, PhD
Medical oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Canberra and clinical researcher with a PhD investigating novel biomarkers and drugs to improve cancer outcomes. Dr Prasanna is a collaborator on research with Professor Sudha Rao, co-authoring studies on breakthrough treatments including LSD1 inhibitors and biomarker discovery in breast and brain cancer. He brings a frontline clinical perspective on how research translates into real patient care.

The Grey Matter Gala funds real progress in brain cancer research through the Daniela Dwyer Foundation. Funding from this year's Gala will be supporting the roll-out of Professor Rao's world first Digital Liquid Biopsy Platform.
